BYTEREAD Features Overview
BYTEREAD reads over 20 real-time sensors from your BMW's CAN bus: boost pressure, oil temperature, exhaust gas temperature (EGT), coolant temperature, intake air temperature, lambda/AFR, throttle position, RPM, calculated torque and horsepower, battery voltage, gear position, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and wastegate duty cycle. The built-in 25Hz GPS module logs track sessions with lap timing and sector analysis. A 6-axis IMU measures lateral and longitudinal G-forces, roll, pitch, and yaw. Additional features include exhaust flap control, OBD2 blocker for anti-theft, DTC reader to view and clear engine fault codes, and over-the-air updates. The BYTEREAD companion app connects via Bluetooth Low Energy for dashboard customization, race log analysis on interactive maps, and remote configuration.
